Sweet mint
The leaves of sweet mint are covered with bright light green bristles. Unlike peppermint, sweet mint has a sweet and delicate aroma as it contains less menthol. This is why it is used in the preparation of savoury dishes such as meat and fish.
Sweet mint is a herbaceous, perennial and aromatic plant belonging to the Lamiaceae family. Together with 38 other species, including peppermint, it belongs to the genus Mentha. It is also known as Mentha Spicata.
