Sarawak black pepper is considered to be a particularly mild and scented pepper. It is characterised by a dry spiciness, which makes it fade quickly. Its fresh and intense taste makes it suitable for white meat and poultry.
Sarawak pepper is native to Malaysia, however, unlike other types of pepper that are widespread in South-Asia, it is highly valued in Japan and Northern Europe. It is also slowly becoming more famous in Latin countries.
