Coarse white Atlantic salt
Coarse white Atlantic salt is a sea salt obtained by spontaneous evaporation. Widely used in Italian cuisine as a flavour enhancer, it is ideal for the preparation of pasta,
vegetables, salt crust and grilled dishes.
At room temperature, sea salt is a colourless crystalline solid with a very characteristic
smell. It is obtained by spontaneous evaporation: the seawater is collected in shallow tanks; as the water evaporates it releases the brine which is transferred to the crystallising tanks, where sodium chloride is filtered out and collected.
