Coarse blue salt from Persia

Together with pink and purple salt, the coarse blue salt of Persia is pure and consists of
large granules. The blue colouring derives from the presence of trace elements that remain trapped in the crystalline structure of potassium chloride. It is suitable for flavouring
steamed vegetables, broths but also chocolate desserts.
Extracted from the ancient salt lake of Semnan, in Iran, the coarse blue salt of Persia is one of the rarest salts in the world. It contains a lot of potassium, calcium and magnesium.
