The Berberè blend originated in Eritrea and Ethiopia and has a very strong smell. The main ingredient of the mixture is cardamom, which Italdroghe combines with Ceylon cinnamon, cloves, liquorice, 60 ASTA sweet paprika, black pepper, chilli, allspice, thyme, ginger and coriander, cumin and fenugreek seeds.
Thanks to its very intense and spicy taste, the Berberè blend is an excellent complement for meat main courses, such as beef, stew and chicken accompanied by steamed or baked vegetables.
