Sweet Edelsuess paprika
Edelsuess sweet paprika is the original Hungarian paprika, considered to be the best on
the market. It is commonly used to flavour meat, cheese, tomato sauces and soups. The
term Edelsuess means “very sweet”.
The paprika plant is a perennial shrub native to South America. The biggest European producers are Hungary and Spain. It is obtained by grinding the seeds and the pulp of
different varieties of Capsicum annuum: depending on the colour and degree of spiciness,
different types of paprika can be obtained.
