Sweet chilli pepper

By using the term “sweet chilli” we are often referring to the whole paprika. In fact, if we preserve it without mashing it, the whole paprika has a very delicate and aromatic taste and enables us to savour dishes with a very spicy touch.
The paprika plant is a perennial shrub, native to South America. The biggest European producers are Hungary and Spain. It is obtained by grinding the seeds and the pulp of different varieties of Capsicum annuum: depending on the colour and degree of spiciness, different types of paprika can be obtained.
